Heritage Church is seeking a part-time nursery director for its Sunday and Wednesday programs, along with other seasonal events that arise during the year.  The nursery director is responsible for supervising children—ensuring their safety, engaging them in nurture and play, and teaching them in a Christian environment—and for maintaining the nursery facility: ensuring that sanitary, safe, and excellent conditions are maintained within the church’s nursery program.

Successful applicants must have a love of children, a love of Jesus, experience in child care or teaching, an ability to work well with others, and a desire to be a part of the Heritage Church mission to serve the community by caring for its children.  Also, applicants must undergo an interview and background check after turning in their resume and three character references.  We would love to have you on the Heritage team!  Please contact us using the information below!

Headland UMC

Director of Youth Ministry Headland United Methodist Church Headland, Alabama This is a part-time salaried position. Applicants must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong faith, an understanding of Methodist doctrine and the intricacies of working with teens in groups and individually. The Director is to be present on Sunday mornings for Sunday School and Worship, Wednesday evening activities and other worship/church events. Qualifications: A college degree in ministry or education preferred. A candidate with post- secondary education combined with experience in the field of youth ministry or education will also be considered. The desire and ability to work with a variety of youth is vital. The ideal candidate must demonstrate evidence of a Christ-like attitude in words and actions. He/she must be able to work independently and be self-motivated while recruiting, managing and encouraging our team of volunteers. Our Director must possess outstanding organizational and communications skills as well as the ability and desire to work with our youth, church staff, parents, other members of both the church and the community. Description of Duties: Director will develop, plan, organize, promote and direct a Christian Ministry to Youth (6th through 12th grade). This will include, but is not limited to, recruiting adult volunteers, planning events including retreats, mission trips, as well as Christmas, Easter and summer events. Our Director will work within the Safe Sanctuary policy personally, while holding youth and volunteers accountable for adhering to the policy at all times. Headland United Methodist Church is a growing church within a growing community in Henry County, Alabama, located just a few miles north of Dothan, Alabama. Our Sunday Worship attendance averages about 150, with 30-40 youth on Sunday and Wednesday. We are blessed with a fantastic staff and amazing volunteers. PART-TIME DIRECTOR OF YOUTH/STUDENT MINISTRIES

PART-TIME DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES

Old Center UMC located on County Road 89 in Newville, AL is currently seeking applicants for the positions of Part-Time Director of Youth/Student Ministries and Part-Time Director of Children’s Ministries.  These positions will be responsible for the overall administration of the Youth and Children’s programs including but not limited to Sunday School, VBS, Wednesday night services, quarterly activities, Confirmation classes and special events.  Must be able to understand and implement Safe Sanctuary practices. Most importantly, be willing to reach the students of the community for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ.
